Earthlink internet service provider is down on Earth Day
When I was having trouble getting to my email this morning, I suspected that something was screwed up on my end. After poking around a bit and finding nothing wrong, I began to suspect Earthlink, my email and web hosting provider, was having trouble. Luckily(?), I get my internet access via Comcast cable’s “Optimum Online” and it seemed to be working okay, so I was able to google to see if I was alone with these Earthlink troubles this Earth Day.
Apparently, I have plenty of company.

Atlantic Yards Web Cam now streaming to flickr

The Atlantic Yards Web Camera was set up by the Atlantic Yards Camera Club sometime ago to monitor the ongoing demolition in the Atlantic Yards footprint, particularly the current demolition of the Ward Bread Bakery Building.
The original feed on the Brit In Brooklyn website is still maintained, but now the individual images from the web camera are being automatically streamed to the Atlantic Yards Web Cam flickr photo set. This allows one to more easily view individual images and their associated details.
One can also view the photos as a flickr slideshow (which is updated daily with the latest images).
The images are fairly low-resolution (640×480 pixels) and are taken every 15 minutes from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. everyday.
