i thought i’d be happy to see my photo published in New York Magazine. i was contacted in late December by someone at the magazine to get permission to use this photo and to discuss compensation. it wasn’t a certainty that my photo would run, but i was flattered and excited to have my work considered for publication.
i have yet to hear from anyone at New York Magazine, but today i noticed on the No Land Grab blog that my photo had been published on the New York Magazine website, but they gave credit to Betty Sword.
this sucks!
i immediately posted a comment on their website, and sent an email to the person who originally contacted me at NY Mag, but have yet to hear back from them.
although i suspect it was an innocent error, i’m pissed.
UPDATE (1/7/2007):
- the online version of the article has been corrected. still haven’t seen the print version of the article, though.
